Two engaging summer programs begin June 21!
Summer Research Experience:
In the program, students will design and create an original research project mentored by a professional scientist, see through the project by conducting field research, and learn how to analyze their findings. Students complete the program with a finalized research presentation and a formal research paper that will be submitted for publication.
Dates: June 21-August 20
Cost: $1350
Session times: (participants will pick one of the following times)
- Tuesday: 12:30-1:30 or 5:00-6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 12:30-1:30 or 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Girls Summer Research Program
Headwaters 2021 Girls Summer Research Experience (previously a camp) returns this year with a new format: as a digital learning cohort plus an optional week of socially distanced camping at the Truckee Donner Land Trust’s Webber Lake Campground.
This program will run as a female-specific section of Headwaters’ Summer Research Experience, with added activities just for participants of this program.
Dates: June 21-July 20
Cost: $1350 ($1450 with camping week)
Optional Camping at Webber Lake: July 12-16 (add $100 to registration fee)
Session times: female specific sessions are TBD based on participants availability
