Headwaters Student Research Journal
Welcome to our library of student research journals. These articles were authored by students in our virtual research programs, with help from a scientist mentor. Our students designed and executed a project during the program, created a presentation, and wrote a research paper with the ability to submit it to an outside journal for publication.
We also highlight the exceptional student research conducted and publish them on the BioQUEST QUBES platform, which is a “social cyberinfrastructure that provides an open and inclusive virtual space for sharing STEM classroom activities and resources, discussing teaching and the adaptation of educational materials to specific institutional contexts, and working together to develop new ideas and insights that contribute to STEM education reform.” This platform is supported by BioQUEST, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and other funding agencies.
Browse the editions or individual student publications by year below. Clicking on the names will redirect you to their publication on QUBES. If the student was able to publish in the Journal of Emerging Investigators, click the “JEI” term next to their name.
