Catch up with our online learning offerings, student programs and more…
Many have asked us behind the scenes how we’ve handled the transition to online learning since March. After running a successful summer research program and a spring and summer full of free online learning videos, honestly, we still weren’t sure if online learning was really here to stay. But as fall rolls around with schools and businesses still operating virtually, we’re ready to support students and teachers using everything we’ve learned about online education these past two seasons.
Here’s a rundown of some of our favorite offerings coming this fall:
1. LUNCH WITH A SCIENTIST – LIVE TUESDAYS AT 11 A.M.
Every Tuesday on Facebook and YouTube we livestream a new scientists’ research presentation. With a variety of speakers across many fields, there’s something for everyone! Tune in live and ask your burning questions during the Q&A portion following the talk, or utilize the archives in our talk library, complete with NGSS aligned worksheets.
2. STUDENT PROGRAMS TO LOOK OUT FOR
October kicks off our Introduction To Research Program. This fun program for high schoolers encourages them to design a reserach project around virtually any topic of interest. Plus, it looks great on a college application!
3. EASY HANDS-ON SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS
We’re excited to bring our same hands-on research projects to classrooms virtually. Our programs introduce basic concepts through the virtual classroom and then empower students to do their own independent data collection at a site they choose near school. We’re proud to help them build the confidence necessary to conduct their research solo!
4. MENTORSHIP PACKAGES TO KEEP KIDS EXCITED ABOUT LEARNING
Online learning can be tough for some kids. Learning long-distance isn’t for everyone. For those who need extra personalized guidance, we have experienced teachers ready to offer help with science learning. You can purchase just few hours, or a large package. Contact us for details.
