Headwaters’ Fall Research Programs

Join in two research tracks this fall:

The fall programs can accommodate students who are in school and can be done during after school hours, as well as students who are out of school and learning from home. Students emerge from both programs with a college-application worthy experience and as experts in the field of science.

Environmental Science Focus: Students will meet in large groups and work one-on-one with scientist mentors to create an original research project and published research paper.

3 sessions available: Students meet in the assigned large-group times, and select individual meetings with mentors from options provided.

Session 1: Monday 3:30-4:45
Session 2: Monday 5:00-6:15
Session 3: Tuesday 5:00-6:15

R Focus: Students will learn to use R a statistical programming language that is widely used across multiple disciplines. Students will come away from the program with a basic understanding of statistical analyses that can be used on their own collected data and how to run analyses using R coding language.
