Virtual Event: Fostering Curiosity through Ocean Research

Date: April 21, 2023

Time: 1:00pm – 2:00pm ET

Headwaters Science Institute has joined forces with OCEARCH for a special Earth Day Live Stream Event.

You will learn about ongoing shark research projects, the importance of sharks in the ocean, and how you can be involved. Meet Seaworld Scientist Gisele Montano, OCEARCH Education Amabassador Tim Barker, the Headwaters Team, and more. This interactive event allows for you to get your questions answered. Celebrate Earth Day by being part of the ocean conservation discussion.

Since 2014 Headwaters has strived to help kids not only understand how to do research but to access the confidence to complete research independently and to ask questions about the natural world. With a mission of fostering curiosity through science, it is our hope that students will not only become intrigued by these scientific discoveries but will begin to question the greater world around them.

OCEARCH is a global non-profit organization conducting unprecedented research on our ocean’s giants to help scientists collect previously unobtainable data in the ocean. Their mission is to accelerate the ocean’s return to balance and abundance through fearless innovations in critical science research, education, outreach, and policy using unique collaborations of individuals and organizations in the US and abroad.

Join us as we team up for this unique Earth Day engagement opportunity and learn how to blend our missions to move the planet towards abundance.

Thank you OCEARCH for partnering with us for this Event!

This event is free. Any donations made will go directly to Headwaters Sciece Institute’s school programs to bring science to under served student populations.
