This fall, we’re so excited to kick off a partnership with Boreal/Woodward, an awesome local ski and snowboard resort and action sports facility that teaches kids camps and so much more!
BOREAL MOUNTAIN CALIFORNIA + WOODWARD TAHOE
Located northwest of Lake Tahoe right off of Interstate 80, Boreal / Woodward prides itself on being a community that is relaxed, comfortable, and confident, creating an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Six lifts and two magic carpets service 41 trails; along with Boreal’s popular Tahoe Tubing snow tubing area, the only night-skiing in Tahoe and an incredible beginner ski and ride program. Boreal is also home to Woodward Tahoe, California’s year-round action sports mountain playground with unprecedented outdoor parks, a 33,000 square foot action sports hub dubbed The Bunker and a multi-week winter ski and snowboard learn-to program for kids. From tree-lined Cedar Ridge pow days and stunning sunsets from the summit, to the most creative Mountain Parks, and all the good groomers nothing beats Boreal Magic.
PHILANTHROPY
Boreal Mountain California and its parent company, POWDR, intend to Play Forever, a commitment to protecting the environment and inspiring participation in adventure while empowering our community. The company has pledged a nearly 50% reduction in its carbon footprint over a ten year period — notable initiatives include the recycled water snowmaking project at Soda Springs Mountain Resort and the Tahoe Solar project at Boreal / Woodward using 715 solar panels to power 65% of our base facilities. From Play Forever the Play It Forward Fund was established to provide funding in support of our local Tahoe/Truckee community successfully navigate challenging times and continue to thrive for generations to come. The Fund works in partnership with the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, and all donations are directed to local non-profit organizations that are providing direct community assistance to keep their missions alive and well.
